Wright State University Tri-State Honor Band

Isaiah

Isaiah Jordan is pictured with; on the left: Michael Haithcock, guest conductor of the Tri-State Honor Band, and director of bands at the University of Michigan, and on the right: Dr. David Booth, Tri-State Honor Band Chairperson and director of bands at Wright State University.

Senior Isaiah Jordan recently represented the band program and all of GCCS as a member of the 13th Annual Wright State University Tri-State Honor Band.  He was one of two bass clarinetists chosen through audition, to be a part of an ensemble numbering over 75 high school musicians.  He was on the Wright State campus for three days, participating in rehearsals that culminated in a Saturday afternoon concert with the honor band.  When asked about his favorite part of the weekend, Isaiah said “it would have to be meeting new people and playing higher level music; playing with people who really love music is great and a lot of fun.  The quality of sound and music is amazing to hear around you.  I had so much fun and learned a lot about myself.”
